Travel to AnguillaAir TravelThere are no nonstop flights from mainland North America or Europe to Anguilla, so visitors usually transfer through San Juan, Puerto Rico, or nearby St. Maarten. Some visitors come from St. Kitts, Antigua, or St. Thomas. From the U.S. the airlines that serve St. Maarten are Spirit , Jet Blue, Continental, Delta, American Airlines and U.S Airways. In the U.S., the airlines American Airlines, South West Airlines,U.S. Airways, Spirit Airlines and JetBlue all serve Puerto Rico. In Canada, Air Canada, American Airlines or Continental Airlines serve Puerto Rico. Air Canada has a direct flight into St. Maarten which is usually once a week at certain times during the year. Other alternatives would be American Airlines, US Airways as well as other Canadian charter companies. From Europe, in addition to St. Maarten, and San Juan, you can reach Anguilla through Antigua. Air France and KLM, offers flights to St. Maarten. From Europe, both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic airlines serve Antigua. In St. Kitts British Airways also serves as a hub with connection via Liat If you plan on traveling through San Juan Puerto Rico, - JetBlue's affiliate Cape Air serves Anguilla with three flights per day that connect with the mainland. Visit Jet Blue to book connecting tickets between Anguilla and the U.S. Mainland, or call 866-Cape-Air. Alternatively, Expedia can sell convenient connecting itineraries between Cape Air and any of the major airlines serving San Juan (American, Delta, United, US Airways, etc.). From Puerto Rico you may also use Anguilla Air Express (Rainbow International Airlines) charter service to Anguilla daily. Upon arriving in San Juan, Anguilla Air Express Meet & Greet Service will welcome at the arriving gate and guide you to your plane while managing baggage pickup and transfer. All flights take approximately 55 minutes on their luxury aircraft outfitted with luxury leather seating. Anguilla Air Express with escort through Immigration and Customs in both Anguilla and San Juan. Cost for the flight is $399.00 roundtrip. Getting from St. Maarten to Anguilla by AirIf you fly to St. Maarten you can then connect via Anguilla Air Services (who have 3 daily flights both ways) or by Trans Anguilla Airways (who operates a charter service). If you have made reservations with Anguilla Air Services or Trans Anguilla Airways, there should be an employee waiting for you at immigration with a sign bearing your name. After you have collected your luggage they will escort you to the Air Taxi. Anguilla Air Services per person cost each way is $85.00 plus taxes The cost of the private charter from St. Maarten to Anguilla which can accommodate 9 persons plus luggage is U.S. $460.00 one way plus $19.00 per person for transit fees. If you plan on returning to St. Maarten from Anguilla for your trip back, the cost of the charter will be $460.00. The flight is approximately 7 minutes. After your arrival in Anguilla, you will enter the main hall where you will produce your immigration form and collect your luggage. Anguillan Customs Officers can be very serious and thorough, so please be patient. Taxis are waiting in front of the building to take you to our hotel (Usual fare is $22.00 U.S.). The Ferry from St. Maarten to AnguillaIn St. Maarten, ferries run between Marigot Bay and Blowing Point, Anguilla, every 45 minutes. You can take a 20 minute taxi ride to Marigot Bay for the ferry. If you plan on taking the ferry, then during your flight to St. Maarten an immigration form will be given to you to fill in your personal and passport information. Make sure that you have written "transit" for the 'hotel address' question on the form. After your arrival in St. Maarten go straight to immigration and show your passport and immigration-form. After passing through immigration, you will enter the main hall for baggage claim. The last regular ferry leaves Marigot at 7:00 PM. The ferry ride is approximately 20 minutes and costs $15.00 U.S. The fare can be paid on board but the departure tax ($5.00 U.S.) must be paid prior to boarding. Private Charters from St. Maarten to AnguillaWhen you are coming to Anguilla you can either take a private charter boat or you can take one of the shuttles which are shared with other passengers. These Shuttles and Private Boat Services operate from just outside of the Airport. The sea shuttle costs approximately $80.00 per adult - round trip (12 years or older), $55.00 per person - one way and runs on a particular schedule. While the private charters costs $360.00 for four persons plus $25.00 for each additional person. Please check with your concierge department for shuttle times. If you have made a reservation with any of the charters or shuttles a representative from the respective boat will meet you in the airport arrival area. Your baggage is then taken onto the shuttle bus and taken to the dock. You then provide the representative with your passports for check in at immigration in St. Maarten and are given an Anguilla Customs form to complete, to present upon arrival at Blowing Point Ferry. It usually takes about 25 minutes to arrive in Anguilla. Upon arrival to Anguilla your baggage is then taken to customs for you to collect.
